November 2017

After a week off to recharge our batteries it didn't take us long to get back into the swing of things. On their return the children were very excited to share their excitement of the firework displays they had been to over the weekend. With that in mind, we filled the week with a number of sparkly firework craft activities, firework pictures on black paper, star bracelets and firework iced biscuits.
In contrast to bonfire night, children have spent the majority of this week focused on Remembrance Day creating poppy inspired crafts and peace doves. This prompted a number of children to talk about family members who are currently serving in the forces so this week has been quite poignant for children and staff alike.
We have also touched on the subject of bullying this week through a number of inspirational colouring pages as well as trying our hand at detailed acrylic painting on canvas, before finishing the week off by making our very own Pudsey masks for Children in Need Day
As well as arts and crafts children have also participated in sport, ICT, singing action rhymes and a spot of baking. I think it is safe to say it has been a very busy couple of weeks!!
