Spring has nearly sprung!

Date: 10th Mar 2017 @ 7:45pm

Thanks to the beautiful Spring sunshine, children have spent much of this week outdoors engaging in various games, plenty of energetic role play and lots of dressing up which makes a welcome change to rainy days in the computer room.

In keeping with the Spring weather there has also been the option to participate in a number of Spring arts and crafts including March pictures, snowdrop crafts, Spring streamers and a spot of Springtime poetry. Children also joined in with a Spring scavenger hunt on Friday which is always enjoyable for our little explorers.

The weather has come just at the right time to inspire some of the budding artists amongst us to design beautiful cards just in time to enter our competition in aid of ‘Autism Together’. I look forward to working my way through all the entries and getting some cards printed ready to sell within the next couple of weeks.

With the Seedlings nursery opening in just a few weeks we have been making the most of our back room where we spent Wednesday after school and Friday breakfast club.  We are very lucky to have had this space for the last few months and will continue to have access to it after school even when the Seedlings are up and running (with the added bonus of a newly landscaped outdoor area just in time for the Summer).

Over on the junior side children have also enjoyed the beautiful weather, even if they were a bit premature in using the school field (apologies to whoever was responsible for cleaning muddy shoes that evening!)

Fingers crossed the beautiful weather continues … although something tells me not to get my hopes up too soon!!

Most of you should have now received Easter holiday club booking forms. With Easter falling at the end of the holiday the activities on offer will be based around an Easter theme so there will be eggs, chicks and bunnies galore. Book now to avoid disappointment.
