Happy New Year!!

Date: 13th Jan 2017 @ 6:39am

Happy New Year!! It seems that the excitement of Christmas and New Year is well and truly over but children have, nevertheless, settled straight back into school and club with very little effort and you would think they had never been away. We have waited all week with bated breath for a sign of snow but have so far been left a little disappointed and have instead been greeted with the usual British gray, damp and dreary weather which means that we have been stuck inside all week. That being said, the children have behaved amazingly well, even on Wednesday when infant club was run entirely from the preschool room for the first hour whilst over 30 children took over the infant hall to take part in our first gymnastics session of the year.

The infant and junior children have taken part in a number of new year activities this week and been asked to think about their New Year wishes and resolutions. We have also made, cards, calendars and new year hats.

Next week's activities are all based on a wintry snowy theme so we hope to have some real snow outside to accompany our indoor craft activities.

We were also very lucky this week to have some new toys and games to play with donated to us by 2 of our children.  The children have thoroughly enjoyed putting together the jigsaws and joining in with the games (even if we do make up our own rules!)

Thinking ahead to February half term, we will be open for the whole week so please do book your children in as soon as you can to avoid disappointment and ensure your child has a place with us. Booking forms are available to download from our website:
