The countdown to Christmas is firmly underway at S4YC with the children enjoying a number of Christmas crafts this week whilst singing along to their favourite Christmas tunes.  With the weather taking a definite turn for the worst and club been particularly busy (especially when the infants and juniors were merged mid-week) we have made quite a lot of use of the back room for both afterschool and breakfast club.

We started the week by making some magic reindeer food then made felt Christmas stockings, some nativity inspired window art and wrote numerous letters to Santa.

The infants were extremely excited to discover a sprinkling of 'magic snow' on Wednesday to enhance their outdoor play.  Unfortunately the snow was a bit too magic and had disappeared in no time only to be discovered later that night on the pre-school room carpet!  What was even more magic was that the children disappeared too as they went off to explore the dark outdoors with their new torches.

The juniors have also been treated to some new games and toys and have recently acquired a wig wam which will help to create a cosy 'quieter' area in club for those children who just want to chill out after a busy day in school.

Toddler group has continued to go from strength to strength with a lovely group forming on a Wednesday morning.  Use of the back room whilst the hall is being set up has been a great help and will be our base this coming Wednesday whilst the infant hall is in use for their Christmas play.
