28th November - 2nd December 2016

Date: 2nd Dec 2016 @ 6:41am

It is hard to believe we have reached December and the countdown to Christmas has begun.  We were thrilled to welcome back our infant manager Claire on Monday and already it is as if she has never been away!

With news that Santa is extremely busy, S4YC have started Christmas a little bit early this year and have been assisting Santa from our very own 'Santa's Workshop'.  Having decorated our tree and put on our elf hats we have been replying to letters, making cards and wrapping presents in an effort to help Santa at this busy time of year.

The extremely cold weather has also helped set the scene although we have opted to keep the children indoors on several occasions this week due to the sudden drop in temperature.  I am glad to say we seem to have sorted out any issues we had earlier last week with regards to a somewhat chilly infant hall so the children (and staff) are now lovely and warm (if not a little too warm on occasions!!)

Having celebrated Thanksgiving and St Andrew's Day we now move on to our favourite time of the year as we work our way through advent.  We have already made our advent calendars (some of which were cleverly cut in half so that Christmas will come earlier!) and now look forward to getting festive by making a number of Christmas crafts including angels, decorated baubles, Christmas crackers, cards, reindeer food and jingle bell bracelets amongst an array of other crafts.

If you anticipate Santa being especially generous this year and are finding yourselves stuck for space, don't forget we are always happy to help take any unwanted toys off your hands and store them here at Out of School Club!!
